Quote of the Month

There can be no other occupation like gardening in which, if you were to creep up behind someone at their work, you would find them smiling.

Vetiver closing until January

Hello Everyone,

I am just sending a note around that we will be closed until January 15, 2015 as we have guests and family here in Spain for the holidays.  We have also purchased and installed a greenhouse to help propagate our plants during the winter months.  They do grow slower and go dormant under 10 degrees but they do still grow in the wintertime.  We will still take orders for the middle of January so feel free to call and leave a message or email us at the contact information below.

We will be here so if there are any questions or problems please feel free to contact us.

By the way we have done some experimenting and have discovered that adding aspirin to the water, which is a natural root enhancer as aspirin comes from the bark of the willow tree, really helps root growth.  So while plants are waiting to be planted we have had dramatic results.  Here is the photo that says everything.  They will last weeks in a bucket with the water changed every few days or when the water becomes cloudy.

The plants on the left have 2 aspirins in the water..  The one on the right has plain water. So while your plants are waiting to be planted add Aspirin.  These plants were what I call throw aways and they are now vibrant plants.

We do hope that everyone has a wonderful, safe and happy holiday season.  See you all next year.

Sincerely,

David and Anna
