Quote of the Month

There can be no other occupation like gardening in which, if you were to creep up behind someone at their work, you would find them smiling.

Garden Club March visit - Jardin Botanico Molino de Inca

Our next garden club meeting is a visit to Jardin Botanico Molino de Inca on 10 March.

We are suggesting that members arrive at around 11.00.
As there is no on site café we are also suggesting that members may wish to call into the restaurant that is close by before returning home for coffee and /or have lunch (at their own expense!)

Are you attending?

Please reply to me (the editor) by 1 March to indicate- If you are attending on 10 March

- How many people will be attending with you

- If you are willing to drive, and if so, how many spaces you will have in your car

- If you will need a lift

- Whether you would prefer a meeting point of Competa or Sayalonga to coordinate lifts

Thank you

If you travel in someone else's car we simply request that you pay the driver a contribution of 2.50 Euros towards the cost of petrol.

Here are the excellent directions that Gill Jordan and Olga have prepared with suitable photographs along the way - so our drivers should feel confident that they wont get lost!!

Directions to Jardin Botanico Molina de Inca -
Address: Nueva Ronda de Circunvalacion Oeste, 29620 Torremolinos, Spain

Allow about an hour to travel from Sayalonga/Competa - approx. 70 Km.

Join the autovia and stay on it to Malaga.

Do not go on the new bypass but stay on the Autovia as if heading to the airport.

Carry on the Autovia and go past the airport and past Plaza Mayor.

Come off at Junction 226 Torremolinos and Palacio de Congresos

At the roundabout, take the fourth exit towards Torremolinos

After a very short distance, about 100mtrs or so, make a right turn.

Follow this road until it opens out into a large parking area behind a large tree

The Jardine Botanico is off to the right.

You have arrived!
