Quote of the Month

There can be no other occupation like gardening in which, if you were to creep up behind someone at their work, you would find them smiling.

Good Samaritans needed .....

Tom and I have an elderly friend, a widower who lives alone, who has let his garden get rather out of control.

He lives in the Competa campo, off the Ridge Road, and its fair to say that things in general have rather been getting on top of him, not the least being the garden. He has no family here in Spain.

We have visited a couple of afternoons with our family to do some basic strimming and weeding, but his garden could do with a little more man power to bring it back into shape and make it easier for him to manage in the future.

There is nothing too complicated needed, other than being willing to get your hands dirty and help us with removing the weeds from his chino area around the house. If you can spray the weeds without killing the plants he wants to keep, that would be an advantage.

If you might be able to lend a help please contact me with a suggestion of a convenient time of when you could come with Tom and I by email on sunley.judith@btinternet.com or by phone Tel 644 073 586. I can then give you directions on how to get there, or pick you up if you need a lift.

Mornings of Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays will usually not be suitable for gardening as we are all keen bowlers, and we are usually playing Bowls.

I hope you don't mind me asking and that you can help us help our friend.

Kind Regards
